Lubniewice – framework for a local energy market

In Lubniewice, a model for the operation of an energy settlement system within the cluster is being defined. The Letter of Intent concluded between the Municipality of Lubniewice, ECM and the Future Solutions Research and Development Center, signed on 17 April 2026, sets the framework for further activities in this area.

From the ECM perspective, the key focus is on establishing a system in which locally generated and consumed energy is recorded and settled between participants in a structured and transparent way.

The scope of work includes defining relationships between entities, business dependencies, as well as mechanisms for the sale and settlement of energy within the cluster.

An important element of this approach is the inclusion of local energy balancing as a factor influencing how the market operates and how settlements are structured.

This model enables the organisation of cooperation and the functioning of a local energy market within a single, coherent system.

Further work will continue to develop the adopted framework.
