On May 8, 2026, Energy Coin Market formally joined the Rumia Clean Energy Cluster, initiating cooperation within the development of a local energy market structure and systems supporting the city’s energy security.

The inclusion of ECM in the cluster marks another important step in building a modern distributed energy model integrating local energy producers and consumers within a single technological and organizational environment. As part of its role, ECM will be responsible for the development and implementation of a digital settlement system enabling energy flow management, intra-cluster settlements, and the creation of a local energy market based on real measurement data.

The cluster is being developed as part of the “RUMIA 72h Energy and Water Security Cluster” initiative, whose objective is to create a model of urban energy resilience and secure the operation of critical infrastructure, including during crisis situations. The project was initiated by the Municipality of Rumia, Rumia Invest Park, and the Maritime University of Gdynia.

The developing model assumes the integration of distributed energy infrastructure, modern monitoring systems, and digital energy management mechanisms that will ultimately enable the creation of a local environment for energy exchange and balancing between cluster participants.

For ECM, participation in the project represents another step in the development of a distributed ecosystem of local energy markets, built together with municipalities, enterprises, and technology partners across Poland and Europe.
