The establishment of the Choczewo Energy Cluster marks an important moment in the local energy transition. It is the culmination of long-term and consistent preparatory work, including the development of the concept, technical analyses, and key decisions taken by the local government and project partners.

The signing of the cluster agreement on January 28 formally confirms that the cluster has been established and has commenced its operations. From this point forward, we are no longer speaking about plans, but about a functioning cooperation structure that will be systematically developed into a fully operational local energy market.

Cluster participants are now entering an intensive phase of further work. This includes the preparation of internal settlement tariffs, the implementation of energy process management systems, and the launch of telemetry and analytical tools within the e-Vision system.

Based on the operational data being collected, a system for balancing energy surpluses using hydrogen technologies is being developed. This area is being advanced by the LAB ONE unit in Gniewino, where renewable energy is converted into energy carriers that enable storage and flexible management of surpluses at the cluster level.

Preparing the Choczewo Energy Cluster for full functionality as a dynamic energy market involves an intensified period of organizational, technological, and regulatory efforts. The outcome will be a fully operational cluster, ready for ongoing energy balancing and for expanding cooperation by welcoming new participants to the cluster agreement.
